Florida's literary agent community is smaller than the major coastal hubs but has grown alongside the state's expanding population and vibrant independent bookstore and festival scene, particularly around Miami.

Agents based in Florida often work across a wide range of genres, and the state's cultural diversity gives some agencies a notable presence in Latin American and bilingual literature. As with most of the country, Florida authors are not limited to agents physically based in the state: most literary agencies nationwide accept queries and submissions remotely, regardless of where the author lives.
