British Columbia's best-known literary event is the Vancouver Writers Fest, held each fall on Granville Island and bringing together Canadian and international authors for a week of readings, panels, and discussions.

Victoria and other BC cities host their own smaller literary festivals throughout the year, often with a strong focus on nature writing, Indigenous voices, and West Coast fiction.
